Amouranth Reveals Her Earning

While constantly making controversial content, Amouranth has always been able to dodge the ban, until last month. Amouranth was banned for inappropriate ASMR content for a few days. However, it didn't slow her down at all. Recently, during a stream with H3H3, she revealed that it was actually her best month as she earned $1.1 million (~ Rs 8.1 crores).

"Last month was actually my highest month ever. I made 1.1 million last month."

Also, she mentioned that this money was from a source that is not Twitch. There is a high chance that this was her earning from her OnlyFan account, where people subscribe and pay money to see her exclusive content.

If she was able to make $1.1 million in a month, it is safe to assume that she is a millionaire and her net worth is much higher than this. With such a high earning, it is quite easy to understand why Amouranth kept involving in Twitch drama. Obviously, it is working really well for her.

Amouranth is currently having 630 thousand subscribers on her YouTube channel and 3.9 million followers on her Twitch channel.

Twitch streamers Indiefoxx and Amouranth have opted to take their weekend off. However, one might not have known that their days off were not voluntary. The two streamers, in fact, both just received a ban on the platform not long ago.

Jenelle Dagres and Kaitlyn Michelle Siragusa, better known as Indiefoxx and Amouranth on Twitch, were struck with bans after streaming overly carnal ASMR content continuously.

Meanwhile, Twitch is clamping down on ASMR streams and has started with restricting two among the most known faces in the industry. Both of them in total have more than 4 million followers subscribing to follow their content.

However, the big question here is why did they ban two top famous ASMR streamers out there?

Twitch cracks down on ASMR streams

For starters, Indiefoxx and Amouranth were pouring their efforts into the “ASMR Meta” category to gain revenue and popularity.

In general, this is not a problem as Twitch is open to everybody. We know of streamers using this tag for the contents like whispering, reading, tapping fingernails,… However, the two good-looking streamers among lots of others started abusing this privilege for their own good. This was in turn hurting genuine and small-time ASMR content creators.

In fact, this is not the first time Amouranth got banned on Twitch.

There is probably a division of opinions on whether the platform should be policing, while Indiefoxx and Amouranth’s bans were the result of abusing Twitch’s privilege instead of violating the rules intrinsically.

Considering the fact that the platform has grown big over time, filling it under the name of pseudo-ASMR content poses a conflict with the authentic parameters.

Needless to say, the restriction is certainly not permanent so streamers like Indiefoxx and Amouranth will need to return to other appropriate sections, or else they would have to face more bans in the time coming.

All in all, the genre of content that gets produced was not the issue. It is because the streamers have piggybacked on the ASMR meta to get more income and views.

What netizens say

Twitter has been booming with diverse reactions, to say the least. While some said that the bans were not fair, others claimed that the streamers should not deem themselves as content creators at all.

Regardless of the case, Twitch will need to do a better job in defining parameters as well as framing projecting rules in regards to similar problems. Currently, we can assume that the ASMR section will remain lowkey for a period of time.

Twitch isn't the most transparent platform when it comes to revealing the reason for a streamer ban. For example, the mystery behind Dr. Disrespect's ban still remains. However, in the case of the former Twitch streamer James 'Phantoml0rd' Vargas, Twitch banned him in 2016 for fraud allegations. The streamer has just won his lawsuit against the streaming platform.

Vargas was quite big of a name in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community, particularly CS:GO gambling. Here, players bet in-game skins on professional matches or on games of chance (like using a roulette wheel). Winners take all.

Certain skins in CS:GO are only available in a certain time frame. Therefore, they have a high value on secondary marketplaces. And where there's potential to make a profit, there's gambling.  Dive deep into the seedy underbelly of CS:GO and you will find yourself in a gritty dark place.

With so much money on the line for players who bet their skins on, some are getting very wealthy. Vargas was probably one of them. He was accused in 2016 of running a CS:GO website and actively promoting it though not revealing that he owned the site. These lawsuits can also be taken by Interpol law firms, as they help many solve similar issues.

Twitch banned Vargas for the same reason, but without any proof of these allegations of fraud. And this is also what helps him won the lawsuit just a few days ago. The streamer seeks to clear his name, along with financial compensation. Though Vargas was found to be in the right of the lawsuit, he only receives $20,702.34 in damages. Initially, he asked for $35 million.

With millions of daily views and growing thousands of streamers, Twitch has become a prominent target for lawsuits. The streaming platform faced a "scantily clad" female streamers lawsuit just last summer.

In the case of Vargas, he finally cleared his name after being kicked out of the site without any actual evidence of wrongdoing. However, his lawsuit also brought back some shady practices surrounding the popular FPS game.

Tfue is the second Twitch streamer to cross 10M followers

A few days ago, the streamer celebrated his achievement by sharing it on his Twitter handle. Apart from receiving congratulations from fans, the 23-year-old streamer is also recognized by his streamer counterparts and teammates.

In fact, the streamer was in the middle of his Minecraft stream that he realized the 10M milestone had been hit. To celebrate the victory, he chucked a beer with his partner TheDuckManX before going back to the game.

By reaching 10M followers on Twitch, Tfue has carved his name as the second most followed streamer on Twitch while the 1st title goes to Ninja with 16,7M followers by February 2021. While it might take a long time to catch up with Ninja, Tfue is being followed by Shroud who is only 1M followers lesser than him. Hope that he can keep up with the good work and rack up more viewers in the future.

About Tfue

Just like Ninja or Shroud, Tfue was shot to stardom as a skilled Fortnite streamer. He also joined team FaZe and hit victories continuously. However, due to the disagreement with FaZe treatment, the streamer left the clan and worked as an independent streamer. The controversy took a long time to be settled but the streamer was highly appreciated for staying away from all the negative arguments.

Apart from playing Fortnite, the streamer is also a skilled Minecraft players. In addition to that, he also makes IRL vlogs which receive millions of views on Youtube. Tfue Youtube channel has 12,1 million (1,21 crore) subcribers.

Last year, Calvin Lee Veil, better known as YouTuber LeafyIsHere, got a permanent ban on YouTube after his violation of harassment policies on this popular platform. Not long after that, his accounts on both YouTube and Twitch were then removed.

In the past, LeafyIsHere was under a lot of controversies due to his streaming content. This YouTuber has been accused of being a racist by those who said that he threatened them.

Girl Streamers Got Banned For Impolite Action On The Mainstream

These four ill-famed streamers come from Korea. They have just come back after the previous ban for offensive streaming content of group swimming. However, it seems that the punishment didn’t make them “docile”. They once again got banned from their impolite and offensive action on the mainstream.

This time, four beautiful streamers didn’t wear sexy bikinis like in their group swimming streaming that made them get banned before. Instead, they wore charming and ravishing cheongsams. It would never matter if they just wore those stunning outfits and did normal streaming. However, after minutes, four pretty girls started to follow the beaten track and did their tricks to attract viewers.

Chobi, the girl in green cheongsam became the victim of the tricks. The other three girls started to untie Chobi’s cheongsam buttons and touch her bust, making the girl cover her bust with her arms and hands. However, Chobi, the victim of the trick, still laughed and appeared to be fine with her friends’ trick on the mainstream. She didn’t show any signs of discomfort or embarrassment with her friends’ impolite manners. 

This trick of four streamers made the chatbox boil with both praises and criticisms. Some viewers even reported and asked the administrator of the streaming platform to ban their channel for those offensive contents. Then, the channel of these four streamers finally got banned. Hopefully, after the ban, they will get a lesson and give up doing sexy or offensive content on their streaming.
