Recently, an anonymous hacker claimed to have leaked the entirety of Twitch. He posted a link to 125GB of the source code and the payout information of the top 10,000 streamers on 4chan, saying that he intended to “foster more disruption and competition in the online video streaming space” because “their community is a disgusting toxic cesspool”.

These files are public and available for anyone to download. Various sources from Twitch and streamers have confirmed that the leak was real.

“We can confirm a breach has taken place. Our teams are working with urgency to understand the extent of this. We will update the community as soon as additional information is available. Thank you for bearing with us.”

How much do the top Twitch streamers make?

While there is a lot of data leaked, including an unreleased Steam competitor, codenamed Vapor, from Amazon Game Studios, most people are drawn towards the earning of streamers on Twitch.

The leaked file contains the earning of the highest-earning 10,000 streamers on Twitch from August 2019 until October 2021, not including their donations and sponsorship. Surprisingly, the highest-earning streamer is actually a group of Dragon & Dungeon streamers called Critical Role as they made more than $9.6 million.

xQc was "only" in second place with $8.4 million. Meanwhile, summit1g, which was in third place "only" made more than $5.8 million. Ludwig is only in the top 6 even though he broke Twitch records with his 30-day stream.

However, a few days ago, this streamer got a bad experience during a stream. Back on February 22, her stream had a pause when a stranger suddenly broke into her house. Here’s what happened at that time:

At the beginning of the stream, it’s all good until Triciaisabirdy suddenly became nervous and panicked. Her viewers immediately realized there might be something wrong. After ending the stream as required, Triciaisabirdy recorded the bad guy on her phone while her friends tried to control him. The video showed that the intruder wasn’t seemingly conscious. Triciaisabirdy then wrote on Twitter that the intruder was arrested by the police and no one got hurt. More notably, she revealed that he insisted that the female streamer was a princess and all that he tried to do was to rescue her.

It is obviously a bad experience when being threatened in your own house. Tfue is the second Twitch streamer to cross 10M followers

Not long before, Jesse TheRealShookon3 Latham, a popular IRL Aussie streamer on Twitch, got an unforgettable experience when being fooled by a ‘fake’ waitress.

As an IRL streamer, TheRealShookon3 often shares his experiences about daily life and travel with the netizens. At the time when the incident in question took place, he was in a bar and a woman who acted as a waitress approached him.

Like a pro waitress, the woman asked TheRealShookon3 what he had ordered and then calculated his bill. After the streamer paid the bill, the woman went off.

At that time, the streamer didn’t realize yet what’s going on to him. The video figured out that the deceitful woman came to his desk while he was sitting alone. She asked TheRealShookon3 whether he wanted to order more drinks or not.

The streamer refused and the woman said that the pub would get closed in a few moments, and therefore, he should soon pay his bill. Both started to calculate how much he had to pay.
