The news dropped alongside the announcement of the game’s next-gen upgrade. Yes, Geralt's journey will soon be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Of course, as CDPR's tradition goes, we haven't had much but a tease of what to come. The only thing we know is that we're getting “extra items inspired by the Netflix series.” Of course, the new DLC will also be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Well, Monster Essence can ONLY be obtained from dismantling certain materials in the game. You won't find it in any other place.

Here's the list of items that will give you Monster Essence when dismantled:

• Barghest Essence (Of Blood and Wine DLC exclusive)
• Crystalized Essence
• Dark Essence
• Elemental Essence
• Endrega Embryo
• Essence of Wraith

Two of the easiest crafting components to obtain from the list above is Essence of Wraith and Light Essence.

This material drops from common Wraiths and Penitent. While Penitent is quite rare to find, you can locate Wraiths in almost every stage of the game. This makes them an excellent source to farm Essence of Wraith for Monster Essence Witcher 3. So, throwback a potion, infuse your blade with Specter Oil, switch your sign to Yrden, and get to hunting!

Light Essence

Light Essence drops from Noonwraith and The White Lady. Noonwraith is easier to defeat since its quest is right in White Orchard. Fighting the Noonwraith proves to be easy. Cast Yrden sign often to make it vulnerable.

The Witcher 3 Bear School Gear or Ursine School Gear is a set of armor and weapon inspired by the School of the Bear for witchers. It is a Scavenger Hunts quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The set has a total of 4 variations Enhanced, Superior, Mastercrafted, and Grandmaster. This is one of the best sets you can get in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

You need to go to Skellige Islands, An Skellig to be specific, to find the Yngvar’s Fang Signpost or the Urialla Harbor Signpost. Keep going and turn right when you see a crossroad. Climb up some stairs and some rocks to get to a room that has a throne inside. You will find a Place of Power next to your destination, which is a cave. Go into the cave and kills everything in there to get the Enhanced Bear School Boots Diagram from a chest near the fire.

Go to Undvik, a large island to the west of Wild Shore. Find the Marlin Coast Signpost. You will see one or two boats there. Use one to go northeast to find a small island. On the island, find a cave that is blocked by ice. You can break the ice using Aard. You will find the Enhanced Bear School Trousers Diagram there inside a chest.

Now, go to the Rogne Signpost in Ard Skellig and takes the same road that goes east and goes north when you can. You will spot a ruined tower. You should get here during the daytime to get the Enhanced Bear School Gauntlets Diagram without having to do any fight.

Find the Kaer Almhult Signpost on the Prison Island. Follow the road there to go to a fort. Kill all the pirates there and find some stairs on your right. Follow the stairs and use your Witcher Senses to find the Enhanced Bear School Steel Sword Diagram.

The final piece of the Enhanced set is on the east of Ard Skellig. You need to locate a castle to the southeast of Yustianna’s Grotto. Enter the cellar of the castle and use your Witcher Senses to find the Enhanced Bear School Silver Sword Diagram.

Now go to The Orphans of Crookback Bog Signpost using fast travel and go southwest through the swamp. You will find an illusion. From the Crossroads Signpost, follow the road that goes south and follow it until you get to the Destroyed Bastion Signpost.

What you need to find here is a ruined stone tower. You will find the Mastercrafted Bear School Gauntlets Diagram, the Mastercrafted Bear School Armor Diagram, the Mastercrafted Bear School Boots Diagram, and the Mastercrafted Bear School Trousers Diagram around that place. Take them all and we will move on to find the next one.

Go to the Blackbough Signpost using fast travel and follow the road that goes to the northwest into the woods. Find a cave in the woods that will bring you inside a cliff. Stick to the right wall of the cave until you finally chest tucked behind a pillar. That chest contains the Mastercrafted Bear School Steel Sword Diagram. Use the road you go in to get out of the cave and go back to the Blackbough Signpost.

Now, for the very last piece of the collection. You will need to go to the Road to Bald Mountain Signpost. You can use fast travel to go there and follow the road along the coast that goes southwest. Just keep move along until you find a very small island that has a rock on it. Swim out to the island and you will find the final piece, the Mastercrafted Bear School Silver Sword Diagram.
